Derek founded the Company and leads the company product strategy, rollout and technological roadmap.
He has been responsible for the company innovation path, vision and direction since conceptual idea phase and continues to apply a hands-on approach to ensure that Connect and Protect meets its goals and objectives daily.
Derek has more than 35 years of experience with electronic security, DC powered technology, Radio Frequency controls and low voltage (LVDC) applications for in-building distribution. He is also a listed patent inventor for a direct DC power platform that is commercialized today.
He brings many core relationships into Connect and Protect from his background in the security, controls and electrical sectors.
He is also responsible for managing key corporate partnerships in both technology and commercial/retail channels.
Prior to founding Connect and Protect, Derek has had experience with business start ups, management and execution.
From a family business at the age of 13 he has worked closely with technology and national controls and technology companies.
An all-around entrepreneur, leader and visionary innovator.

Director of Growth and Partnerships
Patrick partnered with Connect and Protect to lead its national expansion and is responsible for moving the business from a Ontario operation to a North American platform.
He leads sales, business development, and the company’s national channel and agent network. Patrick applies a hands-on approach to every major customer engagement and channel build.
Patrick brings business development experience across North America, with deep roots in service operations and the automotive trades. He brings many core relationships into Connect and Protect from his background in dealer service, fixed operations, and the automotive aftermarket.
He is also responsible for managing the company’s commercial and end-customer engagement across property management, high-end retail, and security integration channels.
Prior to joining Connect and Protect, Patrick spent the first chapter of his career in the luxury automotive network. He is an accredited master BMW technician and came up through dealer service management and fixed operations before crossing into ownership on the automotive accessory side, where he ran business development across North America.
His approach is proactive by design: deter the threat at the perimeter, then stop the intrusion before it reaches the asset.

Security Consultant - Eastern Canada
Dale joined Connect and Protect as a Security Consultant, bringing a career-long commitment to service and protection.
His approach is rooted in a diverse background that spans military service, business administration, and real estate.
Prior to entering the private sector, Dale served for four years as a Naval Communicator in the Royal Canadian Navy, having joined in 1996. Following his service, he pursued studies in Police Foundations at Fanshawe College and Business Administration at Algonquin College.
Since 2003, Dale has been a well-known fixture in the Burlington business community.
In 2006, he expanded his expertise into real estate, managing commercial and residential sales across Southern Ontario.
Dale is excited about security consulting—a field he has long been passionate about.
He is dedicated to providing comprehensive active protection for the properties and clients he has spent years representing in the real estate market.

Security Consultant - Western Canada
Scott joined Connect and Protect to expand into the British Columbia market. He is actively building sales for the region, focusing on accelerating customer acquisition and establishing a dominant footprint for the company on the West Coast.
He applies a hands-on, consultative approach to every client engagement, ensuring tailor-made security solutions for the BC market.
Scott brings a diverse background in premium sales and client relations across multiple industries. He brings many core relationships into Connect and Protect from his extensive experience in the luxury hospitality and high-end consumer sectors in Vancouver.
Prior to joining Connect and Protect, Scott spent a pivotal chapter of his career working at a national sales level with AlloyGator Canada, where he was instrumental in launching and scaling the brand. His foundational career also includes key sales and service roles with Marriott Hotels and Midland Appliance, sharpening his eye for premium client care and strategic account management.
His approach aligns seamlessly with the company’s core mission: a collective, proactive strategy to deter the threat at the perimeter, then stop the intrusion before it reaches the asset.
